The purefil ABS-R(ecycling) is made from 100% recycled material. In addition, recycling coils are used. In concrete terms, this means that used spools are filled with new material. The coil can therefore differ from the picture.
- Ecological as it is made from recycled material
-Made in Switzerland
- easy to print
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene is a copolymer in which, among other things, butadiene is grafted onto the molecular chains. This makes the ABS a lot more impact resistant than before the modification. The proportions are usually as follows: 15-35% acrylonitrile, 5-30% butadiene and 40-60% styrene. ABS is mainly used for the production of household and consumer goods. We currently have ABS filament with a diameter of 1.75mm in our range. In order to be able to print ABS filament, you must first ensure that your printer is suitable for it. Cooling is not necessary, but can certainly bring advantages. Compared to PLA, ABS filament is more stable and has a higher heat tolerance. However, ABS filament tends to warp more. An odor develops during the melting of ABS filament. Make sure your printer is in a well-ventilated area and avoid breathing these vapors. Make sure that neither people who are sensitive to chemicals nor children or pets stay in this room for a long time.
