Supports 2nd Generation AMS

Combine the A2L with the 2nd generation AMS, and your filament gets a closed, climate-controlled home—dried on demand before each print and hermetically sealed in between. Need more colors? Want to print different material types side by side? The AMS lite and the 2nd generation AMS share the same integrated buffer system, so you can stack and combine them: four spools, eight spools, sixteen spools—whatever your project requires, all fed cleanly through a single queue.

Most printing errors happen silently—the nozzle keeps moving, but the part hasn't formed for hours. Sensors along the extrusion path, paired with the PMSM extruder as a feedback node, feed a Bambu-trained algorithm that detects filament tangles, filament runout, nozzle clogging, and extrusion errors—then pauses the A2L and guides you through troubleshooting in Bambu Handy.

Consistently sharp print details

Most printers calibrate the flow once and rely on that for every subsequent print. The A2L recalibrates every time. Before each print job, the flow dynamics calibration measures how the filament actually flows through this nozzle today with this spool—and creates a nonlinear model of the entire extrusion path. Nozzle wear, filament moisture, a new spool—all of this is factored in before the first layer is printed. Sharp corners. Clean details. Print after print.

The A2L is UL 2904 certified for indoor air quality during 3D printing when using official filaments. Tests with our core range—including Bambu PLA Basic, PLA Pure, and PETG Basic—confirm extremely low emissions, making the A2L safe for indoor use.
